DUI/DWI clients who're involved in alcohol and drug rehabilitation programs are either there by their own choice, but usually in alcohol and drug rehab as part of a mandatory order from the court. DUI/DWI clients, especially first-time offenders might be required to go to rehabilitation either in lieu of other consequences or as part of their sentence. DUI/DWI clients may benefit greatly from rehab as opposed to being punished for their crimes, and so can the judicial system. It has been determined that those who are treated for drug abuse issues instead of other penalties being forced upon them have far better odds of staying out of the courts than those people who are fined, ordered to incarceration, etc. In alcohol and drug rehabilitation programs DUI/DWI clients can establish why they abuse alcohol and drugs, in order to address these problems in order to find resolution for the actual conditions and circumstances inside their lives which prompt their drug or alcohol use. This may truly save lives, not only the lives of the DUI/DWI clients, but people who may be impacted by their substance abuse whenever they drive while under the influence in the future. It's a real second opportunity for DUI/DWI clients.
