This can occur for example if someone is convicted of a DUI or DWI, or any other type of drug related criminal offense which has led a legal court to believe that the individual has any kind of drug or alcohol use issue. Not everyone has the option of getting involved in an alcohol and drug rehabilitation facility as a criminal justice client, but if this option is ordered by the judge it is strongly advised that the individual try everything they're able to to benefit from this chance. On many occasions, other penalties and consequences might be completely eliminated or lessened if the individual does well in rehabilitation and finishes the alcohol and drug rehab facility that is ordered for them. New offenders would be the most probable criminal justice clients because it has been determined that criminal justice clients who experience treatment instead of other consequences have significantly lower recidivism rates than those who are ordered to incarceration or receive other penalties.
