Criminal justice clients are individuals who are in any kind of alcohol and drug treatment center because of a drug or alcohol related offense. This can occur for instance if someone is convicted of a DUI or DWI, or for any other type of drug related crime which has led the judge to believe that the individual has any sort of drug abuse issue. Not everyone has the option of getting involved in a drug and alcohol rehabilitation center as a criminal justice client, but when this option is ordered by the judge it's strongly advised that the individual do everything they're able to to make the most of this opportunity. Most of the time, other penalties and consequences may be entirely eliminated or lessened in the event the individual succeeds in treatment and completes the drug and alcohol rehabilitation facility which was ordered for them.
