Criminal justice clients are individuals who are in any sort of drug and alcohol rehab program because of a drug or alcohol related offense. This will happen for instance if someone is found guilty of drunk driving or DWI, or for any other type of drug related criminal offense that has led the judge to believe that the individual has any kind of drug or alcohol use issue. Not every person has the option of getting involved in an alcohol and drug rehabilitation facility as a criminal justice client, but when this approach is ordered through the court it's wise that the individual try everything they can to make the most of this opportunity. In many cases, other penalties and consequences may be totally eliminated or lessened if the individual does well in treatment and completes the drug rehab center which was ordered for them. First-time offenders would be the most probable criminal justice clients because it has been proven that criminal justice clients who do take part in rehabilitation instead of other penalties have much lower recidivism rates than people who find themselves ordered to incarceration or receive other penalties. Eventually, it saves the court system both money and time when criminal justice clients receive powerful rehabilitation.
