DUI/DWI clients who're taking part in alcohol and drug treatment centers are generally there by their own choice, but most of the time in drug rehab as part of a mandatory court order. DUI/DWI clients, especially initial offenders could be ordered to rehabilitation either instead of other consequences or as a part of a sentence. DUI/DWI clients may benefit greatly from treatment as an alternative to being punished for their crimes, and so can the judicial system. It has been proven that individuals who are treated for substance abuse issues as an alternative to other penalties being enforced upon them have greater odds of remaining out from the court system than people who find themselves fined, ordered to jail time, etc. In alcohol and drug rehab centers DUI/DWI clients can ascertain why they abuse alcohol and drugs, so that they can address these problems and find resolution for the actual conditions and circumstances in their lives which prompt their drug abuse. This could certainly save lives, not just the lives of the DUI/DWI clients, but people who may be impacted by their drug abuse whenever they drive while intoxicated in the future. It's a real second chance for DUI/DWI clients.
