Criminal justice clients are those who are in any sort of drug and alcohol rehabilitation center as a result of alcohol or drug related criminal offense. This can occur for example if someone is found guilty of drunk driving or DWI, and for any other type of drug related criminal offense which has led the judge to believe the individual has any sort of substance abuse issue. Not every person has the option of taking part in an alcohol and drug rehabilitation program as a criminal justice client, however, if this approach is ordered through the judge it is well advised that the individual do everything they can to benefit from this opportunity. Most of the time, other penalties and consequences can be totally eliminated or lessened if the individual does well in rehabilitation and finishes the drug rehab program which was ordered for them.
