Criminal justice clients are people who are in any sort of drug and alcohol rehabilitation program due to alcohol or drug related offense. This will happen for instance if someone else is found guilty of drunk driving or DWI, and for any other type of drug related crime that has led the judge to believe the individual has any sort of drug abuse issue. Not every person has the option of getting involved in a drug rehabilitation center as a criminal justice client, however, if this approach is ordered through the judge it is wise that the individual try everything they can to make the most of this opportunity. On many occasions, other penalties and consequences can be totally eradicated or lessened in the event the individual succeeds in rehabilitation and finishes the drug and alcohol rehab facility that has been ordered for them. First time offenders would be the most likely criminal justice clients because it has been determined that criminal justice clients who do experience rehabilitation in lieu of other penalties have significantly lower recidivism rates than those who are ordered to prison time or receive other penalties. Ultimately, it saves a legal court system both time and money when criminal justice clients obtain powerful rehab.
