Criminal justice clients are people who are in any type of drug and alcohol rehab facility as a result of a drug or alcohol related criminal offense. This will happen for example if someone is convicted of a DUI or DWI, or any other kind of drug related offense which has led the judge to think that the individual has any kind of substance abuse issue. Not everybody has the option of taking part in a drug and alcohol rehabilitation program as a criminal justice client, but if this approach is ordered from the court it is well advised that the individual try everything they're able to to benefit from this chance. In many cases, other penalties and consequences could be completely eradicated or lessened in the event the individual succeeds in rehab and finishes the alcohol and drug rehab center that is ordered for them. New offenders will be the most likely criminal justice clients because it has been determined that criminal justice clients that do experience rehabilitation in place of other penalties have much lower recidivism rates than those who are ordered to incarceration or receive other penalties. In the long run, it saves the court system both money and time when criminal justice clients obtain powerful treatment.
