Criminal justice clients are those who are in any kind of drug treatment program as a result of alcohol or drug related criminal offense. This can occur for example if someone is found guilty of driving under the influence or DWI, or any other type of drug related crime which has led a legal court to think the individual has any type of drug abuse issue. Not everyone has the option of getting involved in an alcohol and drug rehab center as a criminal justice client, but if this approach is ordered through the court it's strongly advised that the individual do everything they're able to to benefit from this chance. Most of the time, other penalties and consequences can be entirely eradicated or lessened if the individual does well in rehabilitation and completes the drug rehab program which was ordered for them. New offenders would be the most probable criminal justice clients because it has been established that criminal justice clients who experience rehabilitation instead of other penalties have significantly lower recidivism rates than those who are ordered to jail time or similar consequences. In the end, it saves the court system both time and money when criminal justice clients receive powerful treatment.
