Criminal justice clients are individuals who are in any type of drug rehab program as a result of alcohol or drug related crime. This can occur for example when someone is found guilty of drunk driving or DWI, or for any other kind of drug related offense that has led a legal court to think the individual has any type of drug or alcohol use issue. Not everyone has the option of taking part in a drug rehab facility as a criminal justice client, however, if this approach is ordered from the court it's wise that the individual do everything they can to take full advantage of this opportunity. On many occasions, other penalties and consequences could be entirely eradicated or lessened if the individual does well in rehabilitation and completes the drug rehabilitation program which was ordered for them. First-time offenders would be the most probable criminal justice clients because it has been verified that criminal justice clients that do experience treatment instead of other penalties have significantly lower recidivism rates than those who find themselves ordered to prison time or similar consequences. Eventually, it saves the court system both time and expense when criminal justice clients receive effective rehab.
