DUI/DWI clients who are involved in drug and alcohol treatment programs are either there on their own accord, but more often than not in drug and alcohol rehab due to a mandated court ruling. DUI/DWI clients, specifically first-time offenders may be required to go to rehabilitation either in lieu of other penalties or as a part of a sentence.
