Criminal justice clients are individuals who are in any sort of alcohol and drug rehabilitation center on account of a drug or alcohol related criminal offense. This will happen for instance when someone is found guilty of driving under the influence or DWI, or any other type of drug related offense that has led the judge to think that the individual has any sort of drug or alcohol use issue. Not everybody has the option of getting involved in a drug rehabilitation center as a criminal justice client, but when this option is ordered by the court it's wise that the individual try everything they can to take full advantage of this opportunity. Oftentimes, other penalties and consequences could be entirely eradicated or lessened in the event the individual succeeds in rehab and finishes the drug rehab program that is ordered for them. First-time offenders will be the most likely criminal justice clients because it has been established that criminal justice clients that do experience rehabilitation in place of other consequences have much lower recidivism rates than those people who are ordered to jail time or receive other penalties. Eventually, it saves the court system both money and time when criminal justice clients receive powerful rehabilitation.
