DUI/DWI clients who're taking part in drug treatment facilities are generally there by their own choice, but most of the time in alcohol and drug rehabilitation due to a mandatory court order. DUI/DWI clients, especially initial offenders could be ordered to treatment either in lieu of other penalties or as part of their sentence. DUI/DWI clients will benefit greatly from treatment as opposed to being punished for his or her crimes, and so can the court system. It has been proven that those who are treated for drug abuse issues rather than other penalties being enforced upon them have greater odds of staying out of the court system than those who find themselves fined, ordered to jail time, etc. In alcohol and drug rehabilitation programs DUI/DWI clients can establish why they abuse drugs and alcohol, to enable them to address these problems in order to find resolution to the actual conditions and circumstances inside their lives which trigger their substance abuse. This will truly save lives, not only the lives of the DUI/DWI clients, but people that may be affected by their drug abuse whenever they drive while intoxicated down the road. This is a real second opportunity for DUI/DWI clients.
