DUI/DWI clients who're involved in drug rehab centers are generally there by their own choice, but generally in drug and alcohol rehabilitation due to a mandatory order from the court. DUI/DWI clients, especially initial offenders could be required to go to rehab either instead of other consequences or as a part of a sentence. DUI/DWI clients can benefit greatly from treatment rather than being punished for their crimes, and so can the court system. It has been verified that individuals who are treated for drug abuse issues rather than other penalties being enforced upon them have much better chances of remaining out from the court system than those who find themselves fined, ordered to prison time, etc. In drug rehab facilities DUI/DWI clients can ascertain why they abuse drugs and alcohol, in order to address these problems and find resolution for the actual conditions and circumstances in their lives which prompt their drug or alcohol use. This can certainly save lives, not just the lives of the DUI/DWI clients, but people that may be impacted by their drug abuse when they drive while drunk or high down the road. It is a real second chance for DUI/DWI clients.
