Criminal justice clients are individuals who are in any kind of drug rehab center due to a drug or alcohol related crime. This will occur for example if someone else is found guilty of driving under the influence or DWI, and for any other kind of drug related criminal offense that has led the judge to think that the individual has any type of drug or alcohol use issue. Not everyone has the option of getting involved in a drug and alcohol treatment center as a criminal justice client, but if this option is ordered through the judge it is strongly advised that the individual try everything they're able to to benefit from this opportunity. On many occasions, other penalties and consequences could be completely eradicated or lessened if the individual succeeds in rehab and completes the alcohol and drug treatment center that has been ordered for them. First-time offenders will be the most probable criminal justice clients because it has been verified that criminal justice clients that do experience rehabilitation in lieu of other consequences have much lower recidivism rates than those who are ordered to prison time or receive other penalties. Ultimately, it saves a legal court system both money and time when criminal justice clients receive effective rehab.
