The biggest thing would be to intervene straight away, and not delay until the problem is more pronounced, and in doing so many negative consequences may be avoided. The latter is obviously preferred, as this will make sure that the individual receives the right amount of care and that rehab professionals can focus on the needs of these younger clients which can be different than their adult counterparts. There are a number of different facilities in which teen drug addiction treatment can occur, including therapeutic communities, residential alcohol and drug rehabilitation centers, wilderness facilities, and in many cases bootcamp type programs. Teen drug addiction treatment will most often include one-on-one therapy, group therapy with their peers, and various rehabilitation services geared towards handling the difficulties and issues which relate to a teen's life especially.
