Criminal justice clients are those who are in any sort of drug and alcohol rehabilitation center due to a drug or alcohol related criminal offense. This can occur for example if someone is found guilty of driving under the influence or DWI, or any other type of drug related criminal offense that has led the court to think the individual has any type of substance abuse issue. Not everyone has the option of getting involved in an alcohol and drug rehabilitation center as a criminal justice client, but if this option is ordered from the court it is strongly advised that the individual try everything they're able to to make the most of this opportunity. Most of the time, other penalties and consequences can be totally eliminated or lessened if the individual does well in treatment and completes the alcohol and drug rehabilitation center which was ordered for them. New offenders are the most likely criminal justice clients because it has been proven that criminal justice clients who experience rehabilitation in lieu of other consequences have significantly lower recidivism rates than those people who are ordered to jail time or receive other penalties. In the end, it saves a legal court system both time and money when criminal justice clients receive powerful rehab.
