Criminal justice clients are those who are in any kind of drug and alcohol rehabilitation facility because of a drug or alcohol related crime. This will occur for instance if someone else is found guilty of driving under the influence or DWI, or any other kind of drug related crime that has led a legal court to think the individual has any sort of drug abuse issue. Not everyone has the option of taking part in a drug rehabilitation facility as a criminal justice client, but when this option is ordered through the court it is wise that the individual do everything they can to take full advantage of this chance. In many cases, other penalties and consequences can be completely eliminated or lessened when the individual does well in treatment and completes the drug treatment program which has been ordered for them. First time offenders are the most probable criminal justice clients because it has been proven that criminal justice clients that do experience rehabilitation instead of other penalties have significantly lower recidivism rates than those who are ordered to time in jail or receive other penalties. Eventually, it saves the court system both time and money when criminal justice clients receive powerful rehabilitation.
