Outpatient Treatment - Lind

Outpatient treatment gives rehab clients the ability to sustain certain responsibilities and elements of their lifestyle while getting involved in drug and alcohol rehab services. Outpatient treatment is a moderate level of rehabilitation, and should not be mistaken for the degree of treatment offered in an inpatient or residential rehab setting that's a lot more extensive. Outpatient treatment could be well suited for someone who has a short history of drug abuse as an example, but will most definitely not be sufficient for a person whose rehabilitation needs exceed what outpatient treatment is able to provide. Individuals involved in substance abuse often require an extreme environmental change, because many of the things which prompt their drug abuse are purely environmental. For instance, if a person has been physically or emotionally mistreated and this is prompting their substance abuse, there is no way for any rehabilitation efforts to succeed if they go back to such circumstances every day. In outpatient treatment, clients can benefit from group and one-on-one counseling, as well as family therapy services. In outpatient treatment, most facilities will provide services 6 or 7 days each week on either a part time or full-time basis for four weeks or longer in some instances.
