Criminal justice clients are individuals who are in any kind of drug rehabilitation facility on account of alcohol or drug related crime. This can occur for example if a person is found guilty of drunk driving or DWI, or any other type of drug related criminal offense that has led the judge to believe the individual has any sort of drug abuse issue. Not every person has the option of getting involved in an alcohol and drug treatment center as a criminal justice client, but if this option is ordered by the court it's well advised that the individual try everything they can to benefit from this chance. Most of the time, other penalties and consequences may be entirely eradicated or lessened when the individual does well in rehabilitation and completes the drug and alcohol rehabilitation facility which was ordered for them. First-time offenders are the most likely criminal justice clients because it has been verified that criminal justice clients that experience treatment in place of other penalties have much lower recidivism rates than those who are ordered to prison time or receive other penalties. In the long run, it saves a legal court system both money and time when criminal justice clients receive powerful treatment.
