Partial day rehab centers treat substance abuse disorders and mental health disorders which may be co-occurring. In the partial day rehab center the person participates in various rehab services in the daytime after which returns home in the evening, from five to seven days every week. Partial day rehab centers are an excellent choice for drug or alcohol addicted individuals who may not be able to afford inpatient or residential alcohol and drug rehabilitation, or who might not be able to be away from their own families during inpatient or residential treatment. Whilst in a partial day rehab center, individuals experience group, one-on-one and in many cases family therapy and counseling for substance abuse issues whilst handling whatever mental health issue is plaguing them. You will need to address both issues simultaneously when there is any hope for individuals maintaining any kind long-term sobriety or being able to regain a healthy lifestyle. This could take several weeks because of the fact that it is a part-time rehabilitation option, but it will be worthwhile for the rehab client in addition to their families eventually whenever they can proceed with a whole new beginning.
