Often, parents and other adults can notice signs that a teen is involved with substance abuse and may require assistance some time before the situation becomes serious. The biggest thing is always to intervene straight away, and not hold off until the issue is more pronounced, and as a result many severe consequences may be avoided. Teen drug addiction treatment may either be provided inside a drug treatment facility which treats clients of all ages, or even in a drug rehabilitation center which specifically handled teen drug addiction. The latter is obviously preferred, since this will make sure that the individual receives the correct quantity of attention and that rehabilitation professionals can focus on the demands of these younger clients which can be completely different than their adult counterparts. There are a variety of different facilities in which teen drug addiction treatment can happen, including therapeutic communities, residential alcohol and drug treatment centers, wilderness facilities, and in many cases boot camp type programs. Teen drug addiction treatment will frequently include one-on-one counseling, group counseling with their peers, and various rehab services targeted at handling the difficulties and issues which relate to a teen's life in particular.
