Residential short-term rehabilitation for drug abuse offers rehabilitation services to people inside a residential environment for 30 days or less. This type of rehabilitation is often paid for by private medical health insurance, and Medicaid and Medicare in some cases if considered necessary. Whilst in residential short-term treatment for less than 30 days, treatment clients will likely be detoxed if this has not already been done just before arriving at treatment, and they can experience treatment services for 30 days. These services may differ based on the alcohol and drug treatment center of choice, and often will typically incorporate a moderate quantity of both group and individual therapy. If someone isn't pleased with their progress in alcohol and drug treatment after the 30-day period is up, you should seek further drug and alcohol rehabilitation services in a more long-term center. It isn't uncommon for this to be so, as treatment clients in residential short-term treatment are barely in a position to overcome immediate physical results of their alcohol or drug addiction and dependence in this limited time. Once you have completed a residential short-term treatment plan of less than 30 days, and if more intensive rehab isn't feasible, the individual should acquire extensive aftercare at the very least.
