Criminal justice clients are those who are in any type of drug treatment program on account of a drug or alcohol related criminal offense. This can occur for example if someone else is convicted of drunk driving or DWI, or any other type of drug related offense which has led the judge to believe the individual has any type of substance abuse issue. Not everybody has the option of taking part in a drug rehabilitation facility as a criminal justice client, however, if this option is ordered through the judge it's well advised that the individual try everything they're able to to take full advantage of this chance. In many cases, other penalties and consequences could be completely eradicated or lessened in the event the individual succeeds in rehab and completes the drug and alcohol rehab program that has been ordered for them. New offenders would be the most likely criminal justice clients because it has been verified that criminal justice clients who do take part in treatment in place of other penalties have much lower recidivism rates than those who find themselves ordered to time in jail or receive other penalties. Ultimately, it saves the court system both time and expense when criminal justice clients obtain powerful rehabilitation.
