Criminal justice clients are people who are in any type of alcohol and drug treatment center on account of alcohol or drug related offense. This can occur for example if a person is convicted of drunk driving or DWI, and for any other kind of drug related offense that has led the judge to believe the individual has any kind of drug abuse issue. Not every person has the option of getting involved in a drug rehab facility as a criminal justice client, however, if this option is ordered by the court it's wise that the individual do everything they are able to to benefit from this chance. In many cases, other penalties and consequences may be completely eliminated or lessened in the event the individual does well in rehab and completes the drug rehabilitation facility which has been ordered for them. First-time offenders will be the most likely criminal justice clients because it has been verified that criminal justice clients that experience treatment in place of other consequences have significantly lower recidivism rates than those people who are ordered to jail time or receive other penalties. In the long run, it saves the court system both time and expense when criminal justice clients obtain powerful treatment.
