Dual Diagnosis - Medford

Dual diagnosis is a circumstance in which two independent disorders are present, and most typically denotes a co-occurring drug abuse and mental health disorder. A dual diagnosis can help an individual who may not have been able to be helped in the past, finish drug abuse because they can be correctly diagnosed and helped. Their mental health disorder could have been misdiagnosed, not diagnosed at all, or treated incorrectly which could have prompted and resulted in their drug or alcohol use issues. Establishing the fact that someone is certainly a dual diagnosis client not simply helps establish a highly effective treatment plan for them, but will also help clients better determine what led to their drug use and the way to prevent it down the road. Handling dual diagnosis may be a more extensive process compared to a typical drug rehab program, and folks with a dual diagnosis may need to take part in an extensive aftercare program which can include appropriate medical support and also further rehabilitation services. Being identified as having co-occurring disorders doesn't imply that the person must be medicated for the remainder of their lives either, and in fact a lot of people who have a dual diagnosis experience far better results when treated holistically and when alternative treatment solutions are employed.
