Criminal justice clients are individuals who are in any kind of drug rehab facility due to a drug or alcohol related offense. This will occur for example when someone is found guilty of driving under the influence or DWI, or any other kind of drug related criminal offense which has led the judge to believe that the individual has any type of drug abuse issue. Not every person has the option of taking part in a drug rehabilitation facility as a criminal justice client, but if this approach is ordered by the court it's strongly advised that the individual try everything they are able to to take full advantage of this opportunity. On many occasions, other penalties and consequences could be completely eradicated or lessened if the individual does well in treatment and finishes the drug and alcohol treatment center which was ordered for them. First time offenders are the most probable criminal justice clients because it has been proven that criminal justice clients who take part in rehabilitation in lieu of other penalties have significantly lower recidivism rates than those who are ordered to incarceration or similar consequences. In the end, it saves the court system both time and money when criminal justice clients obtain effective rehabilitation.
