DUI/DWI clients that are taking part in drug and alcohol rehab facilities are generally there by their own choice, but more often than not in drug and alcohol rehabilitation due to a mandated court ruling. DUI/DWI clients, specifically initial offenders could be ordered to rehab either in lieu of other penalties or as part of their sentence.
