Criminal justice clients are those who are in any type of drug treatment facility on account of a drug or alcohol related crime. This will happen for example if someone is found guilty of drunk driving or DWI, or for any other kind of drug related offense that has led the court to believe that the individual has any kind of drug abuse issue. Not everybody has the option of getting involved in a drug rehabilitation program as a criminal justice client, however, if this approach is ordered from the judge it is well advised that the individual do everything they are able to to make the most of this chance. On many occasions, other penalties and consequences could be entirely eliminated or lessened in the event the individual succeeds in treatment and finishes the drug and alcohol rehabilitation center that has been ordered for them. First time offenders would be the most likely criminal justice clients because it has been proven that criminal justice clients who do experience rehab instead of other consequences have much lower recidivism rates than people who find themselves ordered to prison time or similar consequences. In the end, it saves a legal court system both money and time when criminal justice clients obtain powerful rehabilitation.
