DUI/DWI clients that are taking part in drug treatment facilities are generally there on their own accord, but most of the time in drug and alcohol rehab as part of a mandatory order from the court. DUI/DWI clients, particularly initial offenders might be required to go to rehab either in lieu of other penalties or as a part of a sentence. This may truly save lives, not just the lives of the DUI/DWI clients, but people that may be affected by their drug abuse when they drive while intoxicated in the foreseeable future.
