Temporary housing, such as a halfway house or transitional living facility, is a living environment which will help somebody that is recuperating from drug abuse make a constructive and productive transition to a more healthy lifestyle. When someone has effectively stopped using alcohol or drugs independently, or more often with the help of an effective drug rehabilitation program, it is encouraged that they maintain some type of aftercare regiment which temporary housing may be a part of.
