New Mexico - Residential Short-Term Treatment (Less Than 30 Days)

Residential short-term rehab for substance abuse provides rehabilitation services to individuals within a residential setting for 30 days or less. This type of treatment is often paid for by private medical health insurance, and Medicaid and Medicare in some cases if deemed necessary. During residential short-term rehabilitation for just 30 days, rehab clients will be detoxed if it hasn't recently been done prior to arriving at rehab, and they will experience treatment services for about 30 days. These types of services can differ depending on the drug rehabilitation center of choice, and can typically incorporate a moderate quantity of both group and individual counselling. When someone isn't satisfied with their progress in drug and alcohol treatment after the 30-day period comes to an end, you should seek further drug and alcohol treatment services in a more long-term facility. It isn't uncommon for this to be the case, as treatment clients in residential short-term rehab are barely able to overcome acute physical effects of their alcohol or drug dependence and addiction within this small amount of time. Once an individual has completed a residential short-term treatment plan of less than 30 days, and in the event more extensive rehab isn't feasible, the person should receive substantial aftercare at the minimum.
