Criminal justice clients are people who are in any type of alcohol and drug treatment facility as a result of a drug or alcohol related criminal offense. This will happen for instance when someone is convicted of a DUI or DWI, or for any other type of drug related offense that has led a legal court to believe that the individual has any type of drug or alcohol use issue. Not every person has the option of taking part in an alcohol and drug rehab center as a criminal justice client, but when this approach is ordered from the court it is wise that the individual do everything they're able to to make the most of this chance. On many occasions, other penalties and consequences could be entirely eradicated or lessened in the event the individual does well in rehabilitation and completes the alcohol and drug treatment center which was ordered for them. First-time offenders will be the most probable criminal justice clients because it has been determined that criminal justice clients who do experience treatment instead of other consequences have much lower recidivism rates than people who find themselves ordered to jail time or receive other penalties. Eventually, it saves the court system both time and expense when criminal justice clients receive effective treatment.
