Criminal justice clients are individuals who are in any type of drug treatment center as a result of alcohol or drug related criminal offense. This will happen for instance when someone is convicted of driving under the influence or DWI, and for any other type of drug related offense that has led the court to believe the individual has any type of drug abuse issue. Not everyone has the option of getting involved in an alcohol and drug treatment program as a criminal justice client, however, if this option is ordered through the judge it really is strongly advised that the individual do everything they can to take full advantage of this chance. In many cases, other penalties and consequences may be entirely eliminated or lessened if the individual does well in rehabilitation and completes the drug rehabilitation facility that is ordered for them.
