Criminal justice clients are people who are in any type of alcohol and drug treatment program as a result of alcohol or drug related crime. This will occur for instance when someone is found guilty of a DUI or DWI, or any other type of drug related crime that has led a legal court to believe the individual has any sort of substance abuse issue. Not every person has the option of getting involved in a drug treatment program as a criminal justice client, but if this option is ordered by the court it is well advised that the individual do everything they can to benefit from this chance.
