Criminal justice clients are people who are in any sort of drug and alcohol treatment center as a result of a drug or alcohol related criminal offense. This will happen for example if someone else is found guilty of drunk driving or DWI, or for any other type of drug related crime which has led the judge to believe that the individual has any kind of drug abuse issue. Not everybody has the option of getting involved in a drug treatment facility as a criminal justice client, but if this approach is ordered by the judge it's wise that the individual do everything they're able to to get the most from this opportunity. In many cases, other penalties and consequences can be entirely eradicated or lessened when the individual does well in rehab and completes the drug rehab center which has been ordered for them. New offenders will be the most likely criminal justice clients because it has been verified that criminal justice clients that do experience rehab in place of other penalties have significantly lower recidivism rates than those who find themselves ordered to time in jail or receive other penalties. Eventually, it saves the court system both time and money when criminal justice clients receive effective rehab.
