Often, parents and other adults can spot indicators that a teen is involved with substance abuse and might need assistance well before the problem becomes severe. The important thing is always to intervene right away, and never delay until the issue is more serious, and in doing so many severe consequences might be avoided. Teen drug addiction treatment may be provided inside a drug and alcohol rehab program which treats clients of every age group, or perhaps in an alcohol and drug rehabilitation center which specifically addresses teen drug addiction. The latter is obviously preferred, as this will ensure that the individual receives the proper level of attention and that rehabilitation professionals can focus on the demands of these youths which can be different than their adult counterparts. There are a variety of different facilities in which teen drug addiction treatment can occur, including therapeutic communities, residential alcohol and drug rehab facilities, wilderness programs, and in many cases bootcamp type programs. Teen drug addiction treatment will generally include one-on-one therapy, group therapy with their peers, and various rehabilitation services targeted at handling the challenges and issues which pertain to a teen's life specifically.
