Criminal justice clients are those who are in any sort of drug and alcohol rehabilitation facility as a result of alcohol or drug related criminal offense. This will happen for example if a person is found guilty of a DUI or DWI, or any other type of drug related criminal offense that has led the judge to think the individual has any sort of substance abuse issue. Not everyone has the option of taking part in an alcohol and drug rehab program as a criminal justice client, but when this option is ordered through the court it's well advised that the individual do everything they are able to to take full advantage of this chance. Most of the time, other penalties and consequences could be totally eliminated or lessened if the individual does well in treatment and finishes the drug treatment facility that has been ordered for them. New offenders are the most probable criminal justice clients because it has been verified that criminal justice clients who do experience rehabilitation instead of other consequences have significantly lower recidivism rates than people who find themselves ordered to incarceration or receive other penalties. Eventually, it saves the court system both money and time when criminal justice clients obtain powerful rehabilitation.
