Criminal justice clients are individuals who are in any kind of drug rehabilitation program as a result of a drug or alcohol related offense. This will occur for example if someone is found guilty of driving under the influence or DWI, or any other kind of drug related criminal offense which has led the court to think the individual has any type of drug or alcohol use issue. Not everyone has the option of taking part in a drug and alcohol rehabilitation facility as a criminal justice client, but if this option is ordered through the judge it is strongly advised that the individual try everything they can to benefit from this opportunity. Oftentimes, other penalties and consequences may be completely eradicated or lessened in the event the individual does well in rehab and finishes the alcohol and drug rehab center which was ordered for them. Very first time offenders are the most probable criminal justice clients because it has been verified that criminal justice clients who take part in rehabilitation in lieu of other consequences have much lower recidivism rates than those who are ordered to incarceration or similar consequences. Eventually, it saves the court system both time and money when criminal justice clients obtain effective rehab.
