Outpatient treatment gives rehab clients the chance to maintain specific obligations and aspects of their way of life while taking part in alcohol and drug treatment services. Outpatient treatment is a moderate level of rehabilitation, and shouldn't be mistaken for the amount of rehab provided in an inpatient or residential rehab program that's significantly more intensive. Outpatient treatment may be suitable for somebody who has a short history of drug or alcohol use for example, but will most definitely not be sufficient for a person whose rehab needs go beyond what outpatient treatment is able to provide. Individuals involved in drug and alcohol use often require an extreme environmental change, because many of the things which prompt their drug and alcohol use are strictly environmental.
