Criminal justice clients are individuals who are in any sort of alcohol and drug rehabilitation program because of alcohol or drug related crime. This will happen for instance when someone is convicted of drunk driving or DWI, and for any other kind of drug related crime that has led the judge to believe that the individual has any kind of drug abuse issue. Not every person has the option of taking part in a drug rehabilitation facility as a criminal justice client, but when this option is ordered through the court it is strongly advised that the individual try everything they're able to to get the most from this chance. Oftentimes, other penalties and consequences can be entirely eliminated or lessened if the individual succeeds in treatment and finishes the drug and alcohol treatment program that has been ordered for them. New offenders would be the most probable criminal justice clients because it has been determined that criminal justice clients who experience rehabilitation instead of other consequences have significantly lower recidivism rates than people who find themselves ordered to incarceration or similar consequences. In the end, it saves the court system both money and time when criminal justice clients receive powerful treatment.
