Criminal justice clients are those who are in any type of drug and alcohol rehab center as a result of a drug or alcohol related crime. This will happen for example if someone is convicted of driving under the influence or DWI, or any other kind of drug related criminal offense that has led the judge to think that the individual has any type of substance abuse issue. Not everybody has the option of getting involved in an alcohol and drug rehab program as a criminal justice client, however, if this option is ordered from the judge it's strongly advised that the individual do everything they can to take full advantage of this opportunity. Most of the time, other penalties and consequences might be totally eliminated or lessened when the individual succeeds in rehab and completes the drug treatment center which was ordered for them.
