Criminal justice clients are individuals who are in any sort of drug treatment program because of alcohol or drug related criminal offense. This can occur for example if someone is found guilty of a DUI or DWI, or for any other kind of drug related crime which has led the court to think that the individual has any kind of drug abuse issue. Not everyone has the option of getting involved in a drug rehabilitation facility as a criminal justice client, but when this option is ordered through the court it is wise that the individual do everything they can to take full advantage of this opportunity. In many cases, other penalties and consequences can be entirely eliminated or lessened when the individual does well in rehabilitation and finishes the drug rehabilitation center which was ordered for them. First time offenders will be the most probable criminal justice clients because it has been proven that criminal justice clients who take part in treatment in place of other consequences have much lower recidivism rates than people who find themselves ordered to jail time or similar consequences. Eventually, it saves the court system both money and time when criminal justice clients receive powerful rehabilitation.
