Criminal justice clients are people who are in any kind of drug and alcohol treatment center because of alcohol or drug related crime. This can occur for instance if someone is convicted of a DUI or DWI, or for any other type of drug related offense that has led the judge to think that the individual has any type of drug abuse issue. Not everyone has the option of getting involved in a drug rehabilitation program as a criminal justice client, but when this option is ordered by the court it is wise that the individual do everything they can to make the most of this chance. On many occasions, other penalties and consequences may be completely eradicated or lessened when the individual does well in treatment and completes the drug and alcohol treatment program which was ordered for them. New offenders are the most probable criminal justice clients because it has been determined that criminal justice clients that experience rehab instead of other consequences have significantly lower recidivism rates than those who are ordered to time in jail or similar consequences. Eventually, it saves the court system both time and money when criminal justice clients obtain powerful rehab.
