Criminal justice clients are individuals who are in any type of alcohol and drug rehab center because of a drug or alcohol related offense. This will occur for example when someone is found guilty of drunk driving or DWI, and for any other type of drug related criminal offense that has led the court to think that the individual has any kind of drug abuse issue. Not every person has the option of taking part in a drug and alcohol rehabilitation facility as a criminal justice client, but if this option is ordered through the court it's wise that the individual try everything they are able to to benefit from this opportunity. Most of the time, other penalties and consequences may be completely eradicated or lessened when the individual succeeds in rehabilitation and finishes the drug rehab program that is ordered for them. New offenders would be the most probable criminal justice clients because it has been established that criminal justice clients that do experience treatment instead of other consequences have significantly lower recidivism rates than those people who are ordered to time in jail or receive other penalties. In the end, it saves the court system both time and expense when criminal justice clients obtain powerful rehabilitation.
