Residential Short-Term Treatment (Less Than 30 Days) - South Carolina

Residential short-term rehab for drug use provides rehabilitation services to individuals within a residential environment for 30 days or less. This sort of treatment is often covered by private health care insurance, and Medicaid and Medicare in some instances if deemed required. While in residential short-term rehabilitation for under 30 days, rehabilitation clients will be detoxed if this has not yet already been done before their arrival at treatment, and they will experience rehab services for up to 30 days. These services can differ depending on the alcohol and drug rehab facility of preference, and often will typically incorporate a moderate amount of both group and individual therapy. When someone isn't satisfied with their advancement in alcohol and drug rehab after the 30-day period expires, you should seek further alcohol and drug rehabilitation services in a more long-term center. It isn't uncommon for this to be so, as treatment clients in residential short-term treatment are barely in a position to overcome acute physical effects of their drug or alcohol dependence and addiction within this short time. Once an individual has completed a residential short-term treatment program of less than 30 days, and if more extensive treatment isn't possible, the person should acquire intensive aftercare at the minimum.
