DUI/DWI clients who're involved in drug and alcohol rehabilitation centers are either there on their own accord, but usually in drug rehabilitation due to a mandated court ruling. DUI/DWI clients, particularly initial offenders might be ordered to rehabilitation either in lieu of other consequences or as a part of a sentence. DUI/DWI clients may benefit greatly from treatment rather than being punished for their crimes, and so can the judicial system. It has been determined that people who are treated for drug or alcohol use issues instead of other penalties being forced upon them have far better chances of staying out of the courts than people who find themselves fined, ordered to prison time, etc. In drug rehabilitation centers DUI/DWI clients can establish why they abuse drugs and alcohol, in order to address these issues in order to find resolution for the actual situations and circumstances inside their lives which set off their substance abuse. This can certainly save lives, not just the lives of the DUI/DWI clients, but those that may be affected by their drug abuse whenever they drive while intoxicated down the road. This is a real second chance for DUI/DWI clients.
