DUI/DWI clients who are involved in drug treatment programs are generally there by their own choice, but generally in alcohol and drug rehabilitation due to a mandated court order. DUI/DWI clients, specifically first-time offenders may be required to go to rehabilitation either in place of other penalties or as part of their sentence. This can truly save lives, not only the lives of the DUI/DWI clients, but those that may be affected by their drug or alcohol use when they drive while intoxicated later on. It's a real second opportunity for DUI/DWI clients.
