Criminal justice clients are individuals who are in any type of drug and alcohol rehabilitation center as a result of a drug or alcohol related criminal offense. This will occur for example if a person is convicted of driving under the influence or DWI, or any other kind of drug related criminal offense that has led a legal court to think the individual has any sort of drug abuse issue. Not everybody has the option of taking part in a drug rehabilitation center as a criminal justice client, but if this option is ordered from the court it is strongly advised that the individual try everything they're able to to take full advantage of this opportunity. In many cases, other penalties and consequences might be completely eradicated or lessened when the individual does well in rehab and finishes the drug treatment program that is ordered for them. New offenders would be the most probable criminal justice clients because it has been proven that criminal justice clients who do experience rehab in place of other penalties have significantly lower recidivism rates than those who are ordered to incarceration or receive other penalties. In the long run, it saves the court system both time and expense when criminal justice clients receive powerful rehabilitation.
