DUI/DWI clients that are involved in drug rehab centers are generally there on their own accord, but more often than not in drug treatment due to a mandatory court order. DUI/DWI clients, especially initial offenders might be ordered to treatment either in place of other penalties or as part of their sentence. DUI/DWI clients will benefit greatly from treatment as opposed to being punished for their crimes, and so can the court system. It has been determined that those who are treated for drug or alcohol use issues rather than other penalties being enforced upon them have far better odds of staying out of the courts than those people who are fined, ordered to incarceration, etc. In alcohol and drug rehabilitation facilities DUI/DWI clients can establish why they abuse drugs and alcohol, to be able to address these issues and find resolution for the actual conditions and circumstances inside their lives which set off their drug abuse. This will truly save lives, not just the lives of the DUI/DWI clients, but those who may be impacted by their drug or alcohol use whenever they drive while intoxicated in the future. It's a real second chance for DUI/DWI clients.
